Ulster

Mulrovia

Ulster is one half of a large and lush Island. It is five days sail from Enchantica (or two day dragon ride) and ruled by the house of O'Neal. Once at war with it's other half Mulrovia, a marriage and treaty brought them together. Ulster is surrounded by sharp and high cliffs as well as jagged rocks. The only entrance is the ports that lead to the sea. One port leads to Ulster and the other to Mulrovia. Both are on the same side of the Isle. It is well guarded by Dragon Riders and Dragoons as well as Delkens.

Ulster's economy, which is recovering from a very long war, is based on sales and trade of fish, gems from the mines, breeding, raising, and selling of live stock, and farming.

There are a mix of races on Ulster. The Delkens who kind of remind one of gargoyles, only without the wings, having facial hair, no wings, slightly more humanistic in the face, regular feet and hands. They have tails and their skin varies from shades of black, grey, and white. They stand at seven feet tall and their hair color varies to any color imaginable. Then there are the Narus. They are the center of most magick in Ulster. Some mistake them for fae, but they can't change their size and they are shorter than hobbits. Don't be fooled by their size however, they can pack a big, magickal punch. Moon Elves live within the deepest part of the forest and are its guardians. They speak an ancient, almost forgotten elven language that is also spoken by all upon the island as well as common and Gaelic. Then there are Hobbits. They are the farmers, but also have a large vineyard as well as the best brewery in all of Ulster. Finally there are the humans. They do most of the breeding and ranching, those who don't live in the city, that is.

The weather on Ulster is cool and wet in the spring and autumn with lots of rain. Summer is humid, hot and wet also with lots of rain. Winter is freezing cold with snow and even hail. They tend to be a lively and wilder bunch. The royals tend to be more down to earth than most and tend to get themselves dirty with the rest if the job needs to be done. So, be welcome, be polite, and be friendly. Welcome!
