The Story of Enchantica
The story of this kingdom, this empire, this world, spans many, many years and includes personal stories of hundreds of people. To explain what we are today, we must remember how we got here.
Over fourteen years ago, by the way of the Real World, a humble castle was built by two wizards, Sage and Sauron. It was named the "Enchanted Castle" as nearly everyone that saw it was indeed, Enchanted. For its time, it was a remarkable piece of work, a wonder to behold. A family was born here, not by conventional methods, but by a coming together of many people from many worlds, from many backgrounds. Friendships were forged that will last a lifetime.
Despite the wonderful magic people were discovering at the Enchanted Castle, the wizards determined that the people of this small kingdom would be better served by a new generation of wizards. Two new kings,"Mad Dog" Fargo McCloud and Sir Vista Negra were coronated and soon it was as though they had ruled the Enchanted Castle the whole time.
Unfortunately, after a few years, Sir Vista Negra (who was thus called even as a King) took to travelling and one day, did not return. No one know what became of him. Lord Fargo ruled in his stead with the help of several close advisors for a few more years until, one early morning, some strange spell overtook the entire land and froze in place nearly half the people. For three years the place remained under this ice spell. When finally it was broken, many were gone including the King.
The nearly destroyed kingdom needed a lot of work and cleaning and rebuilding before it could be enjoyed again. Perhaps the only ones that could have led this venture were two women. Lord Fargo's wife, Queen Camaro McCloud was one. The other was Empress Adara McCloud, so named by Lord Fargo in return for her service to the kingdom, her advisory skills, and their long friendship. Everyone that remained helped the two make the castle magical again.
And in no time at all the kingdom was again prospering. New alliances were forged and the borders of Enchantica grew. The Empress even convinced a settlement of people from the North to join her and ever since then, Aeren has been a boon to the economy and an essential part of the Royal Navy.
Lady Camaro has since returned to her home of York and though very few reports have come from her, she is hopefully enjoying the freedom Dowager Queens tend to. In her absence, Adara sorely lacked a partner with whom to rule the now-Empire. Though many qualified suitors presented themselves, a husband was found from an unlikely candidate - Keiren Al'Thor.
It was an unlikely pair not because he lacked anything one would hope for in a great Emperor, but rather, because Adara had actually sent him Crusading years before and thought of him only after his marriage with her neice, a princess of the realm. Although the two married to give strength to the Empire and finally forge the dual thrones into one, they did find love. Very soon after, all of Enchantica welcomed their child, Prince Calendorian Al'Thor.
In the days since, the Empire has gone through many important changes. A protective mist was summoned to protect the nation from a dangerous, war-buried world. Some alliances faded away while others have been newly formed. Today the Empire has grown to its largest, richest, most populated ever.
And more changes are coming. Those attuned can feel it in the earth. It's speaking.... warning... promising events that will change the world.
The story and history of Enchantica continues on. But if one listens and watches, one will find that the real importance of this one-of-a-kind, glorious place is told by each of the inhabitants that reside here. It is their stories and their lives that create everything that we have been and will be.
